Particularly horrifying/infuriating is the practice of removing people’s names from the bottom corners of images.

Like, REALLY? REALLY, GUYS? The persons NAME in TINY GRAY TEXT was just too much for you to let stand?

THIS—and then the next thing that drives my hubby crazy is people/sites putting the ENTIRE STRIP up. When he does Saturday Bun Toons I spend a lot of time telling him who he can and can’t yell at when sites/people re-blog… Beaton is at least “lucky” (heh) that she has such an identifiable style that people at least know it’s her, but yes, if they can read the entire thing somewhere else they have no reason to go Google her to go to the original site. As her home site has ads it must be especially galling for her.

The worst is actually a lot of the ‘pro’ or trade sites. There are some that cheerfully just put up entire strips—or they will put up one panel but it will be the punchline. There was one site that used to reblog him almost every weekend—and The Guy finally pointed out to them that were running it on a webpage full of ads…so either pay him or stop doing it and just provide a panel and lots of linkage.
