drawing for humans—yeah, Ty and I talked about whether or not it was the gun that was bothering me so much. (Let’s just say I have lots of reasons to be bothered by them, and leave it at that). His take is that this guy is American, and there—this father using a gun is the equivalent to a dad here taking out a baseball bat to smash his kid’s laptop. But since I’m not part of that culture I don’t know if that’s an accurate assessment.
I think it becomes less so when the father explains that he bought those stupid special expanding bullets and that he’s making her pay for them. THAT’S completely psychotic.

If it was a baseball bat I’d still be wondering what her home life’s like. It seems like something a dangerous person who doesn’t think rationally would do. Sell the laptop, recycle it, lock it away. Shooting it is designed to traumatize & hurt.
