Agnes Garbowska!! Is she the busiest comics creator in Canada? I can’t answer that with absolute certainty…but her output suggests she’s definitely in the running. And her work is always kid-friendly, a rarity these days.
Her latest webcomic is a strip for Saturday Morning Webtoons, Boo Bear and Flo (written by Jack Briglio).
And there’s her webcomic, Waking Up Abbey
And there’s her webcomic, Imagination Station
And there’s her webcomic, You, Me, and Zombie.
And that’s just a small amount of the art Agnes produces each week!

A comic book for kids and by a female creator…and a Canadian creator to boot. S’all good!
Luz Sees The Light is a graphic novel by Claudia Dávila for 8-12 years old, with a “strong environmental message”. Here’s a great review from Comic Book Daily’s Scott Vanderploeg

One of the nicest, calmest, most-supportive teachers I’ve met…my kid loved doing a workshop with Dave.

Toronto comics creator Dave Lapp is one of the instructors for our kids’ workshops, having spent a decade teaching around the city.  He has an artblog where he has been posting strips from his graphic novel Children of the Atom, published by Conundrum Press in 2010.

INVEST COMICS has put together an anthology comic ONE AND DONE on behalf of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Today, they’re featuring an interview with Dino Caruso

who wrote three stories in the anthology, one of which was pencilled and inked by Gibson Quarter, a fellow TCWer.

Both Dino Caruso and Gibson Quarter were contibutors to Holmes Incorporated #2, the comic published by the members of TCW’s 2011 Fit-to-Print workshop.

For me, at this point, poor is a choice because I want to draw comics for a living.

Comic book letterer/colourist. Wife-like person of a comic book artist/writer with four wildly creative children. I suffer from serious Cultural AD/HD--my mind jumps all over the place paying attention to so many different things. I want to know about sf/fantasy, comic books, cool decorating, design work, Gary Oldman, movies, social and political issues and whether or not Sam and Dean will live happily ever after.
